A little brown bird is on my feeder – what is it? Oh, I can simply look in this guide under “brown birds” and then turn the pages that lists them from smallest to largest – cool! I can also learn about their songs, where they build their nests, and how to attract more of them to my yard. An inspiring guide with clear photos of common birds across the country and what seasons you might expect to find them in your place.

This guide is used at Wilderness Awareness School Summer Day Camps and is the recommended youth field guide by our school on this subject.

Of course, this is a valuable guide for folks of all ages, but the simpler guides are most useful and inspiring for young people.
